LEAP YEAR
(Using Gregorian Calendar)
consisted of 366 days instead of 365 days of common year
needed to keep the calendar in alignment with the Earth's revolution around the Sun
because Earth rotates about 365.242375 times a year but in a common year is 365 days
Every 4th year we add up a day (Feb 29) to "catch up" the extra 0.242375 days a year
However its still inaccurate by 1 day every 100 years
To increase accuracy, every 400 years is counted as Leap year again (1 day regained every 400 years = 0.0025 days per year)
In the past, the Leap year is the time for women to pop the question to the man they love
Women of early days were not allow to propose marriage to a man
They were allow to do so one day every 4 years (that's today!)
It is believed this tradition was started in 5th century Ireland when St. Bridget complained to St. Patrick about women having to wait for so long for a man to propose
The date, 29 Feb, was set for the day of women proposal
The man who declined the proposal will have to pay a fine through a kiss or payment of material goods
In Greek, marriage on this day is believed to bring bad luck to couples.

I slept so much now I cant sleep
I was watchin "My Brilliant Brain" on Ntl Geo
the episode is about "Accidental Genius"
A prodigious savant, who has mental handicap yet has an extraordinary mental ability
so contradicting..
The autistic person have social impairments, repetitive behaviour and unusual body languages..
but the person can exhibit the special skills and talent that probably cannot be achieved
Like prodigious savant, George, is able to remember every day and dates in the history..
when he was asked what day of the week is 12 July 1965 (for example)
he could answer it straight away..in addition, with what historical event had happened during the day of that year...
Creepy~
It reminds me of the HK Drama show "Dicey Business", it also mentioned about an autistic boy who is able to memorise all the poker cards and in turn became a world-class gambler..
Mayb its not that bad to be mental handicap afterall..

It's really sentimental which brings Jo to tears,

Holly and Gerry were love at first sight
they were the perfect soulmates who understand every inch of one another

But it's definately an eye-opening place to be in..
You get to experience things that you can hardly find in Singapore..
Example: Playin with Firecrackers, Putting Fireworks, Live in place surrounded by water, The house next to yours is empty and has got many rats, The product of your digestive system will end up in the deep deep toilet bowl which when u peep down; it's the river and the source of your food is from the river...
I learnt new things like: Playin Tai-di (donno how to spell) and Mahjong..
The tide was low, and the bridge which linked to the empty house was broken..creepy~
My golden slipper spoiled..at least it get to go overseas once haha..
